What is the employee giving campaign?
NCHS is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Five years ago NCHS started an employee giving campaign to offer employees a way to support our patients and programs.
If you have participated in the employee giving campaign, thank you for your continued support. When those of us closest to NCHS show our pride and dedication by making a financial gift, it demonstrates to individuals and organizations in our community that NCHS is worthy of their support, too.
When is this year’s campaign?
This is a very exciting year and a new chapter in the history of NCHS. As we welcome our new President & CEO, Barbara Kennedy, and prepare to open a new Ramona Health Center, we increase our ability to serve that many more patients in our expanding community.
This year’s campaign will run through 2018 (January – December). We encourage every employee to make a personal contribution. Donate here. Philanthropy touches nearly every patient in one way or another. Your donation – of any amount – will make a difference for the families you care so deeply about. For the hundreds of employees who participate, the employee giving campaign serves as a wonderful source of pride.
I already give so much, why should I contribute financially?
When those of us closest to NCHS show our pride and dedication by making a financial gift, it demonstrates to families and organizations in our community that NCHS is worthy of their support, too. Making a donation – of any amount – is just one more powerful way you can give our patients and families a little more hope and support. It’s not about how much we give – every dollar makes an impact.
Many of the programs and services that impact our patients’ experience are only made available because of donor support. While the sacrifices you make to our organization are beyond measure, we are a nonprofit and rely on the financial support of donors to remain a vital resource and provide the extraordinary care we are known for.
One hundred percent of gifts donated to NCHS directly support care for thousands of our patients each year, as well as groundbreaking advances such as Telemedicine, and Behavioral Health integration to the care we provide. Every dollar makes a difference to our patients.
Many organizations ask for my support, why should I donate to NCHS?
Making a voluntary philanthropic gift shows that extraordinary care truly does start with you and is another way to strengthen NCHS.

I participated in the 2017 employee giving campaign. Was the 2017 campaign successful?
YES! Over 120 employees participated in the 2017 employee giving campaign. Our goal for 2018 is to increase the number of employee participants to 375.
Is participation in the employee giving campaign mandatory?
No. Financial contributions are completely voluntary.
Does my giving have any influence on my performance review?
No. Giving has no influence on any performance evaluation.
How do I make a donation?
There are many ways to donate. You can donate online, in person by visiting the Fund Development department, through interoffice mail by sending a check, or through payroll deductions by filling out the Employee Giving Form, which can be found here. Donation forms can also be found at the Reception Desk at the Administrative entrance of NCHS San Marcos.
What are my payment options?
Payment options include credit card, debit card, personal check, cash, payroll deductions, planned gifts, or gifts of stock.
Can I choose where I want to designate my donation?
Of course! We want your gift to be meaningful to you! All 2018 Employee Giving Campaign gifts are automatically designated to the Ramona Funding Initiative. If you wish to restrict your gift to another area, please contact Jennifer Pena at Jennifer.firstname.lastname@example.org or (760) 736-6710.
Please note, all gifts made through payroll deduction will go to the Ramona Funding Initiative.
Is there a deadline for making my gift?
Gifts to NCHS can be made at any time throughout the year. You can support NCHS year round by donating online or by called (760) 736-6710.

How will my donation be recognized?
Your gift will be recognized every day as NCHS continues to provide extraordinary care to every patient who walks through our doors. You will also receive an acknowledgement letter and tax receipt for your donation. Recognition may also be given by listing your name on our website, social media, or other outlets. Can I make an anonymous donation?
Yes, please specify on your donation form that you want your gift to be listed anonymously. We would still like to have your contact information so we can thank you, but your name will not be shared publicly.
