Midori Akimoto

Midori Akimoto is a Board Certified Family Practice Clinician. She graduated from The University of Occupational and Environmental Health in Japan in 1988. Dr. Akimoto’s first year of practice was in Japan with a specialty to anesthesiology. Dr. Akimoto fulfilled her residency in both Japan(1990) and in the United States (2007). She fulfilled her Internship and Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Associations, and the North America Menopause Society and the California Academy of Family Physicians.
In treating her patients, the most important part is taking care of her patients with a compassionate heart and listening to her patients attentively. The reason Dr. Akimoto joined North County Health Services is because she is happy to provide her best medical knowledge and skills to people who may not be able to access medical care easily in our community.
Dr. Akimoto was born in Tokyo, Japan and has lived in Carlsbad since 2008. Her three hobbies are gardening, reading, and cooking. She is fluent in Japanese and English and is working on her medical Spanish.
