Agricultural Mental Health Program
Project Summary
Implementation of a program to provide services for emotional/mental health to migrant farmworkers in north San Diego County.
This is being done through strategies that include:
• Staff training to assist and act as advocates for farmworkers accessing health and mental health services
• Funding of clinician and support staff
• Screening and counseling farmworkers for mental health or referral to substance abuse treatment programs
•Community building through NCHS-sponsored activities such as camping, soccer games, and support groups
