Bilingual Counseling Services:
The NCHS Mental Health & Counseling Department staff includes a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) who is the lead therapist, two psychologists, a psychiatrist, an administrative assistant/coordinator and a behavioral healthcare coordinator.
Our professional staff will provide:
• Individual therapy
• Child therapy
• Family, couples and marriage therapy
• Crisis intervention
We seek solutions with you to:
• Manage your stress and your anger more effectively
• Parent more creatively
• Overcome depression
• Develop fulfilling relationships
• Increase your self-esteem, self-awareness and confidence
Our commitment:
We are committed to service integration with NCHS programs and clinical services to ensure that you can receive comprehensive care, referral, case management, and education. Consequently, we have developed a wish list that will advance our integration of services with other NCHS departments.
We wish to:
• Expand hours of business to include weekend office hours
• Develop a support group for women and domestic violence victims
• Develop a Parenting Skills education group
• Be a training institution for postdoctoral students
• Offer assessment and follow-up psychotropic medications by qualified adult psychiatrists
• Create a trauma center
