�I have always been concerned about meeting the health needs of the underserved and volunteering with North County Health Services is an opportunity for me to continue to be a part of this.� Dr. �Bud� Beck is well-known in the region for his role in health delivery to underserved and ethnically diverse populations. As a physician in the community, Dr. Beck has served on several boards and has a background in quality assurance. Dr. Beck received his MD from the University of Michigan and has held among others, the positions of Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor of Medicine, UCSD, Chief of Medicine, Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, CA. Although retired, Dr. Beck is currently a Senior Consultant for Community Health with Scripps Health. Dr. Beck was recently honored as one of the San Diego County�s Health Champions (2007).
