Health Education
North County Health Services offers services in Health Education. Our staff of Health Educators provides on-going education to our patients on-site in the clinic for chronic illnesses, such as diabetes or asthma, as well as through special programs or specific projects, such as childhood obesity prevention, that receive short- or medium-term funding from state, county, federal government or private institutions or foundations. Some of these programs may be short-term pilot programs in specific sites or areas of interest. In addition, Health Educators plan mammography clinics, establish community relations with social service agencies, churches and homeless shelters. Health Educators also plan breast and cervical cancer awareness events.
