Board of Directors:

North County Health Services (NCHS) is a private, not-for-profit corporation that is run by a Board of Directors. Every nonprofit organization is operated for the benefit of some group of persons. For North County Health Services those intended beneficiaries are our patient clients in the communities we serve. The Board of North County Health Services is charged with making decisions affecting the organization and the clients the organization serves that are related to personnel, finance, and program management.

Executive Management:

The leadership team at NCHS, called the Executive Management Team (EMT), has a philosophy of participatory management. The EMT believes in promoting leadership from within because through this process they believe they are able to clearly convey the corporation’s mission, vision and values as well as the key initiatives handed down by the Board of Directors.

The Leadership team also believes in accountability for work performance thus NCHS encourages staff to take advantage of the opportunities offered for advancement. They believe a well- educated, well-trained and well-informed staff provides quality services and exceptional customer service.

Under the EMT, the Health Center Director or Practice Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining policies and procedures to support the provision of medical care as well as responsibility for quality assurance at his/her clinic. To reinforce this, a Corporate Code of Conduct is provided to all staff and volunteers upon entering service with NCHS that outlines expectations in work performance, ethics and customer service.
