Pharmacy
NCHS has two pharmacies: one serving our coastal clinics and located at the Oceanside Health Center at 605 Crouch Street, Oceanside, and the other serving our inland clinics and located at the San Marcos Health Center at 150 Valpreda Road, San Marcos. Prescriptions are filled for NCHS patients written by NCHS doctors only. As a federally qualified health center, NCHS participates in the 340B pharmacy program that offers certain medications at deeply discounted rates to our patients.
Patients may also choose to take their prescriptions to any retail pharmacy of their choice.
Our pharmacies participate in programs sponsored by pharmaceutical companies that provide assistance to low income, uninsured individuals, such as Pfizer's Share the Care Program and Contour Choice that provides diabetics their test strips at a deeply discounted rate.
Additionally, NCHS pharmacies provide services through the Homeless Program as well as "Connecting Children to a Healthy Future," a donor-funded program to provide medications to low-income and uninsured children for asthma and other diseases.
