Golden Years Program
Program summary:
North County Health Services hosts a social support group for Latino seniors who are, or have symptoms of, depression. Participants are given the opportunity to socialize, learn about community resources, become self-sufficient, learn new skills to cope with life stressors, and have the opportunity to share their life experiences. Participants also engage in arts and crafts activities.
Target Population:
Latino seniors who are depressed, or have symptoms of depression and are 55+ years old.
Funder:
The Mental Health and Primary Care Integration Project is founded by San Diego Behavioral Health through the Mental Health Service Act.
