North County Health Services is a large non-profit organization with eleven health centers and over 500 employees who are involved in community events and outreach as well as participation in our own company affairs. From staff luncheons, to health center grand openings to a yearly golf tournament, NCHS is a dynamic company with many community events scheduled throughout the year. We hope you enjoy reading about some of our most recent happenings.
10.08.11 - Fabulous At Forty Gala
NCHS held its first fundraising Gala on October 8th at the lovely Carlsbad Sheraton Resort and Spa. We raised $90,000 for the Connecting Children To A Healthy Future Initiative thanks to a steadfast volunteer Fund Development Advisory Board and a tremendous group of sponsors. Thank you for your support! 08.12.11 - Fore For Kids VII Golf Classic
North County Health Services 2011 Fore For Kids Golf Tournament was held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the premiere course, The Crossings At Carlsbad in Carlsbad, CA. We had a sold out course and were able to raise $70,000 for our pediatric health and dental programs. 08.06.11 - San Marcos Total Wellness Health Fair
On August 6th the San Marcos Health Center hosted the "Total Wellness Health Fair". The event was a huge success and 500 people came out to get health information, relax in the zen zone, get some exercise in dancing to Zumba classes or just to grab a healthy bite. The event was hosted to promote "total" health; mind, body and spirit. Pictured: Zumba Dancers; Destressing in the "Zen Zone."

06.18.11 - Walk With A Doc
Keeping communities active and involved was the purpose of the Walk With A Doc event. Community members and patients had the opportunity to take a stroll or run with a doctor around Discovery Lake in San Marcos, CA. It's an opportunity for people to engage the doctors outside of the clinic setting all the while being active. Picture: Entrance/Check In at the event.

06.04.11 - Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival
The Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival was held for the first time in the Hamilton Children's Garden the newest part of San Diego Botanic Garden. NCHS was one of a select few of non-profit organizations who were beneficiaries of proceeds from the event. In fact, NCHS sold the most amount of tickets for the event thanks to our outstanding board member Diane Seaberg who led the way.

05.21.11 - Coastal Wellness Fair
The Annual Coastal Wellness Fair was held on May 21st at the Mission Mesa Health Center parking lot. Attendees participated in health activities, ate healthy snacks and received healthy information and tips.

05.03.11 - Tri-City Medical Center Midwifery Open House
On May 3rd NCHS and Tri-City Medical Center celebrated their history-making partnership at the Midwifery Open House. For the first time in Tri-City Medical Center's 50 year history, midwives, NCHS midwives, were credentialed as members of the Tri-City's medical staff and began attending women in labor and birth.
