2011 Development Plan

Connecting Children To A Healthy Future

At North County Health Services we recognize that it is critical that we reduce economic and ethnic health disparities in key areas such as infant mortality, prenatal care, tuberculosis, asthma and childhood obesity. To close the gaps in healthcare among children and youth, NCHS offers a broad continuum of care-from birth with the help of our midwifery program, through infancy with the proper nutrition provided by our Family Nutrition and WIC programs; through the school years with the necessary immunizations, dental care and physicals, to adolescence with our teen wellness clinic. In addition to our pediatric medical and dental services, NCHS has numerous innovation programs to encourage active participation for children and their parents in the management of their health. The programs focus on meeting the many physical and emotional health needs of children of all ages and on education for the parents.

Corporate Partnerships, Individual Donors and Fundraising Events

As many state funded programs have been cut or significantly reduced, we seek the support of the community to supplement the costs of needed healthcare services and preventative programs to our community's youngest residents and to close the funding gap between the actual cost of care and the amount recovered through service fees, insurance payments, and government contracts. The goal of North County Health Services 2011 Development Plan is to raise $350,000 through our Fore For Kids VII Golf Tournament, the Fabulous at Forty Gala and in contributions from local residents and businesses. With your support, we can continue to provide quality care to any pediatric patient in need of medical and dental services in North San Diego County and promote health awareness to our most vulnerable populations.

We plan to reach our Development Plan goal with the participation and support of the Fund Development Advisory Board and Fore For Kids Golf Tournament Committee - a group of vibrant, dedicated and motivated volunteers who are business and community leaders.
